Cancun Spring Break Still Hot

Hey everybody! It's Spring Break time again and PromoNY.com has decided to check in on what's happening down at the old favorite, Cancun, Mexico. As usual, large numbers of New York City partygoers have chosen Cancun as the place to be this Spring Break. PromoNY's representative was on the scene, reviewing all of this year's action. He has returned with a wealth of information for those of you who are yet to leave for your vacations this year. Unlike the majority of my articles, I have decided to present this info to you in a list format that is easy for you to print and take with you as a reference guide. Clubs reviewed are listed alphabetically for your convenience.

| Inside Daddy O's Nightclub |
La Boom
NYC style club; almost 90% of crowd is made up of New Yorkers; Sound Factory style music; Always hot and crowded
Had to grease guy at the door each night or the wait was at least 1/2 - 1 hour.
Daddy O's and Daddy Rock
Buy 1 ticket for $25 from the guy outside and get into both clubs and drink for free till 3am.
Good looking crowd of people consisting of people from both the East and West Coast.
Both clubs had wet t-shirt contests on at least 3 or 4 of the nights we were there.
Daddy O's reminded us a lot of Hunka Bunka. Playing mainly 103.5 style music.

| Daddy O's Wednesday Party "Too Mucking Fuch" |
Baja
Mainly hip-hop playing in an upper level, very small, hot, and dirty club.
Very ethnically diverse crowd
No one is dressed up; everyone wears shorts, sneakers, tank tops, etc.
Coco Bongo
Similar to Exit, both in music and crowd
Crowd was more dressed up, like a NYC club. People were turned down at the door for having an "inappropriate" look.
Club is huge; each of it's 2 floors were packed.
Christine's
Dressy older crowd, similar to a Manhattan lounge.
Liquid
Not very big. The music was ok. The place in general reminded us of the old Club EXPO or the main floor at OHM.
**Beware of False Promotions** Passes lured people to the club by saying Jonathan Peters would be there and he was not.
Bliss
After Hours club open from 4am-12pm.
Ask cab drivers to take you to Tequila Sunrise. Most drivers do not know Bliss by name.
Fat Tuesdays
Happy hours were pretty good; Nighttime parties were pretty bad.
The crowd was definitely comprised of out of touch college kids that go away to school.
Rock N' Roll Crowd dancing to 92.3 and z100-type music (rock type stuff).
After Hours party on Friday started at 2am. We showed up at 8am and it was closed. Party was dead all night.
20-30 different alcoholic daiquiris; gallons were $30 and good for 2 people.
Booze Cruise
Party before the cruise at Fat Tuesdays.
Not many New Yorkers went this year.
Worth going if it is your first year in Cancun.
All in all, Cancun is still a reliable spot to spend your year 2000 vacation. It is something that should be experienced by everyone at least once in his or her lifetime. For those of you under 21, there is no place that will cater to your vacation needs as well as Cancun. We will keep you informed of any updates to this information along with new info on what will be hot this coming Memorial Day Weekend. Keep your eyes open for these future articles.
